Paper making machine rolls are important part in paper machine. Meanwhile, the press roll is the main component of the paper machine press section. There are many kinds of press rolls. In the press section of old paper machines, flat rollers are often used. With the increase of paper machines working speed, vacuum rolls are used, and then groove press rolls and stone rolls are developed. In the 1970s, blind hole press rolls and controllable corwn rolls are researched and developed. After absorbing the advantages of vacuum roll, groove roll and blind hole roll, several other new types of pressure roll appeared. From 1980s to 1990s, the wide press zone and shoe press for high-speed paper machines were developed. The technicans have never stopped the development of new press roll, the purpose of which is to improve the dehydration efficiency, improve the quality of paper and reduce the adverse impact of press on the paper industry.
